Sales Analyzer is a tool specifically created for RetailPRO's RPSales output file.
RetailPRO is a RPro Technologies LTD. software.

This software ha s been developed by Luca Mauri for Swarovski Internazionale d'Italia S.p.A.

Cabinet Self Extractor version, MSI package and ZIPped executable versions has been released and published on this site today.
Starting from version 2.0, I now provide a text file containing MD5 hash of the distribution files.
Please refer to Downloads section for detailed instructions.

Development of 2.0 version completed today with the build 174.
Version 2.0 successful passed a huge number of tests in the past few days, anyway, due to the complete re-engineering of the GUI and of the Analyzing algorithm, application may became unstable in critical situation.
I will do further tests on the product in a production system starting December 27.
It is possible that some further build will be released in the very first days of the 2002.

Version 2.0 development start today.
SA v2.0 will have a new improved GUI and an empowered configuration utility. Also, the software will be able to process more than one RPSales files at the same time.
I hope this version can be released in the first week of 2002.
In the meantime, version 1.7 will be supported for bug-fixing only.
Please e-mail me any suggestion you might have to improve functions of version 2.0.

MSI installation modification.
Now installation process will correctly create program's and documentation's shortcuts in the Start menu.
Product banner in the top bar of the installation dialogs has been fixed.

New compressed installation packet released.
Now the executable is created using Microsoft's utility IEXpress, that will allow create a full-standard Win32 Self-Extractor Cabinet.
This version replace old SFX one , it maintain the main features and improve the usability.

Bug that cause a buffer overflow in case of 237 or more line long RPSales file has been fixed.
Some minor typing mistakes in windows dialogs has been removed.

Last products version and documentations are now available for the download from this location.

MSI and Self-Extractor Cabinet installation pack are periodically updated but they are not always up-to-date.
For this purpose it is available a ZIP version of the main application's EXE file.

	Microsoft Installer Installation pack 3,51 MB	Complete installation in Microsoft Installer standard. Unless you have serious technical discommendation to avoiding using Windows Installer, I strongly recommend you to use this installation pack. Please note If your Operantign System is older than Windows 2000, you probably need to update it with Windows Installer. Anyway, some Microsoft apllication (such as Office 2000), automatically install Windows Installer. To be sure, please download this file and see if the icon is the standard windows icon for unknown file format (a little blank sheet with Windows Logo) or the icon representend in the left image. In the first case you need to install Windows Installer (go to www.microsoft.com/download and make a search using  "Windows Installer" string).  n the second case you can simply ma ke a double click on the icn to start installazion process. More information on the right box.
	Win32 Cabinet Self-Extractor Installation Pack 2,29 MB	This installation combines a standard Visual Basic installer program with the Self-Extracting Win32 Cabinet (SEC) using Microsoft's utility IExpress. You can us this installation version if your system does not support Microsoft Installer and you have no intention to upgrade it. Please note Windows Installer is becoming more and more the preferred installation method for Microsoft as well as for other software house. I think you should REALLY think about upgrading your system to Windows Installer. See the MSI installation package description and the right box fore more information.
	EXE latest version ZIP 53,8 KB EXE latest version Self Extract ZIP 82,0 KB	If you have a version previous than the 2.0.0.223, you can update Sa by simply replacing the executable with the newest version. Both the files listed left are compressed version of the executable: First file is a plain ZIP file that can be handled using popular utility WinZIP It NEED WinZIP or a similar unzipping software Second file is a Self Exctracting ZIP. It can be executed as any other application and it will provide to decompress it with no need of external utility. It does NOT need WinZIP. Please be aware to decompress file in the right folder, i.e. the folder you specified in the original SA installation.
	Documentation Word 2000 57 KB	SA documentation is available as a stand-alone file as well as part of the two distribution (SEC and MSI). Please note: Documentation is largely out-of-date. I hope I will publish new documentation within first week of the 2002. Documentation format is Word 2000. You can download a free viewer program from  www.microsoft.com/download .
	MD5 Signatures Plain Text 8 KB	MD5 signatures assure that files has not been corrupted during download or altered by any other means. This file is plain text with DOS/Windows format line feed.
